YEREVAN – Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he expects relations with Türkiye to normalize and hopes that border crossings, railway links, and road connections between the two countries will reopen in the near future.
Pashinyan welcomed the current peaceful atmosphere between Armenia and Azerbaijan, describing it as an important step toward long-term regional stability.
The Armenian leader also highlighted the importance of the Crossroads of Peace initiative, stating that the project would bring significant benefits not only to Armenia but also to Georgia, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Iran.
"The Crossroads of Peace project will be highly beneficial for Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Iran. I believe the Armenian people will be the ultimate beneficiaries of this process," Pashinyan said.
Analysts suggest that the reopening of the Armenia–Türkiye border could boost regional trade, strengthen transportation links, and contribute to economic growth across the South Caucasus.
